No way will Ghostzapper be the next Cigar. He will be hard pressed to start in 12 more races, let alone win them all in order to reach 16 in a row. Even in the age of the vet being amongst the most important angles in the game, he has run too fast for his own good this year. I'm looking for a Super-Ball like bounce in the BC.

racingings newest Superstar. Fastest consistent Figure horse (now three in a row) ever or at least in 30 years. This is the new Cigar. Cant wait for next season, hope he is still racing. wow, what an amazing year for GhostZapper!! A horse that does not bounce is very very unusual. And more unusual is a classic distance champion that is also a middle distance champion. and considering how much faster his figs were over the others and the strange public playing (Birdstone, Funny Cide, Arazi, Perfect Drift???) a nice overlay today as well. happy Halloween!!

Well you know I'm curious as to what Len and Jerry assign this race. Very strangely playing track today in terms of times. I suspect that some odd run-up times contributed to some of the odd fractions in some of the earlier dirt races.

Ghostzapper is definately the champion older horse by virtue of his last three wins, however I wouldn't go overboard and claim he is a champion middle distance horse as well. I suspect that Pico Central would have something to say about that.

I look forward to trying to beat Ghostzapper again in 2005. Good work TTT.

i agree he is a play against next year or a no play as he will be no higher than 1-5 or 2-5 in any race. He is way too good and way too good to the public now. yesterday was the last overlay on him. Like Cigar during his streak after his first Breeders Cup there was never another race you could actually play him in. so Im afraid I cashed my last Win wager on GhostZapper. But it will be fun to watch him in 2005.
